I remember seeing the those pretty, vivacious and charming Russel Girls, who participated in the "Christmas Caroling" that tour places in Negros Occ. from Vicmico. I saw them one christmas in our next door neighbor house in Saravia doing the singing and dancing with the group of carolers a long, long time ago. I was in high school then. Just fond memories lingers on....

I have been standing at that bridge on several occasions Sep-Oct 09 and there was no foul smell. At nights the frogs makes a lot of noise, so it can't be too bad if the frogs can live in the river.

Enjoy your shopping here!! It is airconditioned and pleasant environment inside. Your vacation will not be wasted and just by wandering around you may find your relative with her fruitstand like what i met during my bried sojourn in this city.
  • Victorias Golf & Country Club, vlo.usa (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
Visit & play in this wonderful golf course, all 18 holes of fun and food after the game. I know this because i played here 3 times a day on the average for 3 months i was on vacation. Regards to pare Norbing, Pare Narding and Pare Roger who's hospitality and their entertaining stories and anecdotes in life will always make me chuckle everytime i play golf.

That was, as it was appropriately called as such because of pollutants dump into the river coming from sewage, industrial waste and agricultural chemicals and the inability of the river to expel this contaminated water into the sea because of the high tide that pushes these water back. The sediments that stays beneath the surface becomes foul-smelling chemically converted mud that releases air bubbles to the surface to dissipate and fouled the surroundings, easily noticeable when you cross the bridge on a hot and humid day or nighttime. To dozing-off travelers it is wake-up call to announce you are either entering or leaving town. I crossed this bridge so many times and i noticed some improvement done already on this river when i was there in 2004..
